Ueno Park is one of the most popular places in Tokyo to watch the sakura – cherry blossom trees – as the bloom. The park turns into a gigantic festivals – with food stands, rice lanterns and groups of people picnicking away under the blooming sky.
Sakura along the Naka-Meguro river
My favorite place in Tokyo to enjoy the sakura season is in Naka-Meguro, where a walk along the Meguro river is nothing short of a fairytale. Of course, the walk can also be paired with pink bubbly that is served along the road, as well as sweet mochi snacks.
