If you’re in the search for neon lights, head to Shinjuku. Here you’ll find more blinking lights, giant advertisement signs, and busy crowds than almost anywhere else in Tokyo. Head out Shinjuku Station’s East Exit and walk towards Kabukichō, Tokyo’s red-light-district. This is also the area where you’ll find the savory yakitori shops along Piss Alley, the cozy and versatile mini-bars of Golden Gai and the extreme Robot Restaurant with its original mix of Gagngam style-dancing robots and half naked women flying around in the air. Late night out? No worries. Head deeper in to Kabukichō to find hundreds of Love Hotels. Or spend the night in one of the many capsule hotels scattered around the area.
